My First Experience Filming with Ryan Serhant: A Rollercoaster Ride at “Mattaccino”
When you hear “property tour with Ryan Serhant,” you can bet it’s going to be anything but ordinary. And trust me, my first experience filming with the real estate mogul at “Mattaccino” in Wall, New Jersey, was a thrilling ride from start to finish!
The Planning Phase: Chaos and Cancellations
The journey began with a chaotic planning phase. We initially scheduled the shoot for March 28th, but Mother Nature had other plans—heavy rain forced us to cancel. Finding another slot in Ryan’s jam-packed calendar was no small feat, but we managed to reschedule for May 8th.
The property is a gem, boasting a massive expanse, its own golf course, and stables. Enrique and I decided to shift our marketing focus this time—highlighting the stables to attract those passionate about organic, farm-to-table living. To bring this vision to life, we even arranged for a special guest: Morpheus, a stunning black horse! Unfortunately, Morpheus’ first appearance had to be canceled due to the weather, but we were determined to make it happen.
The Big Day: Nerves, Excitement, and a Little Bit of Cowboy Style
As May 7th approached, the forecast threatened rain once again. Ryan, ever the professional, suggested we wait until the morning of the 8th. And boom! The weather cleared up perfectly. We all drove to Wall, NJ, early to ensure everything was set. I arrived before Ryan to prep the property, meet Morpheus, and give him some snacks before his big moment.
Dressed in what I hoped was a cowboy-ish outfit, I ended up looking like Woody from Toy Story—definitely attention-grabbing, if not entirely intentional! But hey, it added a fun twist to the day.
Lights, Camera, Action!
Ryan’s filming crew, Studios, arrived and the energy was electric. Drones buzzed overhead, professional cameras rolled, and iPhones captured every angle—cameras were everywhere! Ryan showed up and instantly took command, directing the scene with precision. “I’ll stand here, Mark you stay over there, camera on my left,” he orchestrated everything flawlessly. His talent as both protagonist and director shone through.
In just one hour, we wrapped up the shoot. The professionalism and experience Ryan brought to the table were astounding. You can witness the magic we created in the final video here.
Behind the Scenes: The Real Story
While the video might make it look effortless, the reality involved a lot of planning, back-and-forth emails with Studios, and rescheduling. Ryan’s smooth sailing approach made it all manageable. He suggested rescheduling, contacted his assistant, and voila—within a day or two, we had a new date.
