A free live music concert takes place every Wednesday from 6pm-9pm at the Grove Path Plaza. This weekly music series features a wide variety of musicians, performers, local businesses and sponsors. You don’t want to miss this event, it will continue throughout the summer and finish in September.

In 2016, 23,000 brand-new residential construction permits were issued by the State of New Jersey. Jersey City holds nearly 14% of those permits with 2,815 issued for multi-family projects and 359 issued for one and two-family projects, totaling 3,174 developments. In Jersey City, 37,000 units have been proposed and 9,000 units are underway and the building boom is spreading to all parts of the city beyond Downtown and Journal Square. Also, a look at the list beyond the number one spot makes it clear that proximity to New York City is key to attracting new development.
“Cava Grill is Coming to Jersey City”
Another highly anticipated eatery is coming to Jersey City, the Mediterranean fast-casual concept Cava Grill, is one step closer to opening. It will be located at 30 Montgomery Street, near Exchange Place.What can you expect from Cava Grill? Think Chipotle for Greek salads. Start with your choice of greens like mesclun, romaine, or arugula. Add a grain, like black lentils or saffron basmati rice. Top it with a spread like tzatziki or roasted red pepper hummus. Choose from proteins like spicy lamb meatballs, falafel, or grilled chicken. Round out your bowl with your choice of veggies and dressings.
